Impulse & Response Filters

On waveforms and Scriptures

A wise person once said.. Scriptures are not for exhibiting our literary grandeur, nor showing off the intelligence in understanding them.. The real purpose is to change our view of responding to the world. Churn and recalibrate our sense of the world. A vision of balance and poise. Scriptures are like the training reference manuals that have stood the waves of time.

For some crazy reason I get reminded of the Impulse and Sine functions. In time domain a simple harmonious Sine wave is a spike in frequency domain. A spike in timedomain is like an overtone of frequencies in Frequency domain..

A filter calibration paradigm. Perhaps we should be centered around our core frequency and in time domain swing harmoniously like the sine wave. And not be thrown off by the erratic impulse behaviors and its spread of overtones.

Like the Swadharma in Gita.. Newtonian Mechanics and Inertia of Motion with no work expenditure. and the impeding obstacles of the second law..

a) Impulse Function b) Sine Function

A friend said after reading this post..

In Karmayoga, Krishna tells Arjuna.. Janaka and other great people worked effortlessly for the welfare of the people. They riled modeled and set the standards for exemplary living.

The universe operates in such harmony and organization. There is no room for carelessness and attachment.

Round like a circle in a spiral, like a wheel within a wheel

Never ending or beginning on an ever spinning reel

Like a snowball down a mountain, or a carnival balloon

Like a carousel that’s turning running rings around the moon
