In the front porch of your young self!

A philosophical Muse

My dear friend was pondering over this wonderful quote:

“When you find yourself, you will see the flowers in the front porch of your young self” — Maya Angelou.

The distant youth and its vibrant colors, dancing in carefree spirit, unaware of the future it holds. There bloomed innocence and wonder; there fruited cherished moments, in the garden of time.

And there were some hard and thorny moments: of rejections at school, work, and life. Unaware of the ways, it harbored tears and torment. A philosopher sprouted, for life and hard lessons, its very books, soil and teacher!

In the still waters of mind, in the pond of reflection, in the backyard of time, you find and gaze at yourself!

In the spring of youth, it bore the brave fighter, blooming flowers of passion. It fruited knowledge and life lessons, and gave a basket of bounty blessings! For it fruited knowledge and life lessons, and the sweet and sour flavors, the spirit to go on, as I ripened!
