I was watching a salsa teacher perform in Senior Fitness. Such poise and elegance.. The beats and tempo slow and groovy. As though no effort went in. Like a singing of song!

I was reminded of Patanjali yoga sutras in the spirit of Asanas. My yoga professor would say.. Sthiram sukham asanam.. prayatna shaitilyam.. ananta samaapatyam..

At first, anything would need technique and practise practise. We tend to focus focus with grit, and naturally build some tension around the forhead, shoulder and arms.. However, a pose like standing on one foot, might have nothing to do with flexing forhead, shoulder or arms, but we are creatures of habit and stress and insist..

Embrace the pose with bliss.. letting go of unneeded stress.. submitting to the bliss of infinity.. letting go of dualities..

Sthiram sukham asanam.. prayatna shaitilyam.. ananta samaapatyam..

It’s a way of life. Inertia of Motion, and Inertia of Rest at play. No over clocking and overworking. Letting the music of life flow.

Like the lofty trees and plants.. The leaves and branches swinging in the air, embracing light, so buoyant, fluid and nimble.. The flowers grounded in padmasana.. While the kitchens drawing water from soil and busy making food and oxygen for the planet.. Embracing ups and downs and seasons.. Joy of spring, enduring summers, letting go in fall and baring the winters.

स्थिरसुखमासनम्

प्रयत्नशैथिल्यानन्तसमापत्तिभ्याम्

ततो द्वङ्द्वानभिघातः

Embracing a happy pose

letting go of unneeded stress, and submitting to the infinity..

Thereby overcoming duality and war of mind and senses
